This summer's visit to Whitefish was much more genuine and meaningful to me. The past few visits have been brief and we have barely stayed in Whitefish long enough to enjoy it's beauty. While planning vacation this year we had a few options. One was to go to the Black Hills in South Dakota after the Lake Sakakawea adventure. The other was to go to Whitefish and

Vacation in a Familiar Place...
Every summer my family and I go on vacation for around a week or two. We leave the town we are living in and become nomads of a unique kind. The car is packed to the roof with luggage, camping equipment, food, and maybe an instrument or two. We began our vacation this summer with the familiar location of the Butts/Anderson family cabin on Lake Sakakawea. At this place I am never disappointed with the entertainment and hospitality provided. Seeing members of the family there over the fourth of July weekend was so much fun I didn't want to leave when Monday came around. The two things that helped me get through the depressing fact that we had to leave included: that most everyone else was leaving, and we were heading back to my home town and birthplace, Whitefish, Montana!

Beginning of Beginnings
Many things are beginning. Right now in my life, the beginning of beginnings seems to be happening. Multiple things I am involved with provide further options and exciting outcomes. One thing that that is completed and could begin great things is the ACT! A few weekends ago my family and I went down to the twin cities and I took the ACT at Como Park High School! It was a very interesting experience. As I left the room, after taking the test, I realized that I was in the minority. Being a part of the minority makes one feel as though they have more of a unique background culturally...very cool to experience! I think it would be an interesting experience to be a minority constantly. Maybe someday I'll live in a place where I am the minority. Finishing the ACT is a relief and makes me feel as though many doors are 'beginning' to open.

Opportunity Pairs With Summer: Goals
Every year when the mud dries and the summer begins to reveal itself, my mind and body surge with energy. Even when I realize tests need to be taken and school activities need to be finished, I am unable to control my mind. I think about all the opportunities that are presented with the summer months, and along with opportunities, goals become uncovered. Right now I would like to express my goals in the written form to give me even more of a need to accomplish every one of them.
1. I would like to further research, contact, and hopefully tour the schools I may end up attending when I graduate from high school. Along with this college search I need to do my best on the ACT (on the 11th of June) by preparing in the following weeks, and apply for scholarships. Also I need to discover which fields of study I would like to pursue. Right now I am leaning towards Music (the composition, production, and performance branches of it) and English (the creative writing branch mainly.) I still am interested in psychology and biology though. So I have my work set out for me.

Number One: Intro and description
Today I have decided to post my first blog ever. I've always loved to write and try new things, so I thought this was the perfect match to do both at the same time. Also, it is almost summer break and I will have much more time on my hands (at least more time compared to the school year) to write material that is not necessarily related to schoolwork.
I'm sure anyone reading this is wondering what is "up" with the title of the blog. Treetea? What is that... well its kind of a pun I guess. Tree meaning a tree in the ground that grows tall and has green needles/ leaves sometimes being other various colors depending on the season, and tea meaning tea that you drink. ...I know kind of weird... but trees are my favorite plant and tea is my warm drink of choice so in my mind it made sense. This also corresponds to a treaty when taken as a pun. As dictionary.com states, a treaty is, "any pact or agreement."
